After talking friends into doing the Whole Living cleanse challenge then backing out at the last minute (because hello? giving up caffeine, alcohol AND meat all at once? what’s the point of living at that point?), I have been eating right this week and abstaining from alcohol (unless you count these two shots of whiskey I got for myself tonight because hey, it’s Friday!) but I’ve been dreaming about the dinner we had on New Year’s Day. Black-eyed peas with ham and collard greens, mincemeat pie, and my personal favorite, cinnamon rolls made from leftover pie crust (except for I may have made an extra pie crust worth of dough to assure there was enough to make plenty of cinnamon rolls stuffed with butter, brown sugar, chopped walnuts and dried cranberries.
